Refund & Chargeback Policy
Last updated: 19 June 2026
This policy explains how PayEurasia handles refunds, reversals and chargebacks. It applies to merchants integrating our payment APIs. End-customer refunds are the responsibility of the merchant of record.
1. Merchant responsibility
The merchant is the party contracting with the end-customer and is responsible for setting and communicating its own refund and cancellation terms in accordance with local consumer-protection law.
2. Requesting a refund
Merchants can initiate a full or partial refund through the PayEurasia dashboard or API within the window supported by the underlying payment method (typically 90–180 days for wallets, and per bank rules for bank transfers). Refunds outside this window may need to be processed as manual bank payouts.
3. Settlement of refunds
Refunds are debited from the merchant's available balance or, where insufficient, from the merchant's designated settlement bank account under the Merchant Services Agreement.
4. Chargebacks and disputes
- Chargebacks and payment-method disputes are notified to the merchant as soon as PayEurasia receives them from the acquirer or wallet.
- The merchant must supply supporting evidence within the timeframe requested (usually 7 calendar days).
- Where a chargeback is upheld, the disputed amount plus any applicable fees is debited from the merchant.
- Excessive chargeback ratios may trigger reserves, rolling holds or termination in line with the Merchant Services Agreement.
5. PayEurasia service fees
Our processing fees for successful transactions are not refunded when a refund or chargeback is issued, unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing.
6. Fraud & abuse
Refund requests linked to suspected fraud, money laundering or abuse of the payment system are held pending compliance review and reported where required by law.
