Risk Disclosure

Last updated: 19 June 2026

This disclosure summarises the principal risks associated with using PayEurasia's payment infrastructure. It is not exhaustive and does not replace the risk warnings in the Merchant Services Agreement.

1. Operational risk

Payment processing depends on third-party rails (banks, wallets, card networks) that may experience downtime, maintenance or policy changes. PayEurasia targets high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.

2. Settlement risk

Settlement timings depend on the underlying rail, banking hours and regulatory holds. Cross-border settlements may be delayed by beneficiary-bank compliance review.

3. Foreign-exchange risk

When funds are collected in one currency and settled in another, the applicable FX rate may vary between authorisation and settlement. Rate movements are the merchant's risk unless a fixed-rate arrangement is agreed in writing.

4. Regulatory risk

Payment regulation in South Asia evolves rapidly. Changes in central-bank policy, wallet licensing, cross-border rules or tax treatment may affect the availability, cost or timing of specific payment methods or corridors.

5. Chargeback and fraud risk

Merchants are liable for chargebacks, refunds and losses arising from fraud on their platform, in line with the Merchant Services Agreement and our Refund & Chargeback Policy.

6. Reserves and holds

PayEurasia may apply reserves or rolling holds where risk indicators warrant. The basis for any reserve is set out in the merchant's commercial agreement.

7. Security risk

Compromise of a merchant's API keys, admin credentials or webhook endpoint can result in financial loss. Merchants are responsible for safeguarding credentials, rotating keys and validating webhook signatures.

8. Country and counterparty risk

Payment corridors may be affected by sanctions, capital-control measures or the failure of a downstream provider. PayEurasia operates redundant routing where feasible but cannot fully eliminate this exposure.

9. No investment advice

Nothing on this site constitutes investment, legal or tax advice. Merchants should take independent advice before deploying capital or entering a new market.
